About Me

Hi, I'm Tamsin and welcome to Mood Massage. I am a fully qualified and Insured Massage Therapist working from my treatment room in Cranbrook, Exeter.

I worked at my local college as a lecturer in Business and have always enjoyed learning. I've taken up roller derby, piano and hiking, the list goes on. For a long time I had my eye on the L3 Body Massage course at the college. So in September 2021 I decided to enroll. It was intensive! 3 hours a week for the whole year. I learned so much about the human body and massage. I'd say within the first few weeks of starting the course I realised how much I enjoyed the experience of massaging someone, its very relaxing and rewarding.

I started to think about my career and what I wanted from life. Teaching is my passion but I was 12 years in and needed another challenge. I decided massage was it, I could put my business knowledge to good use (and to the test) and set up my own massage company. So here we are one year later and I have loved the process of setting up and am so excited to be starting up.

Swedish Massage

The Technique:

1. Effleurage: The journey begins with the long, gliding strokes of effleurage. Hands and palms are used to gently apply pressure, creating a smooth, continuous flow across your skin.

2. Petrissage: As your body starts to unwind, a technique involving kneading and lifting the muscles is used which increases circulation, releases toxins, and promotes flexibility.

3. Friction: For areas of tension and tightness, this involves applying pressure across the grain of your muscles, helping to break down knots and adhesions, enhancing blood flow, flexibility and range of motion.

4. Tapotement: To invigorate your body, this technique incorporates rhythmic tapping, cupping, and hacking movements that stimulate your muscles and increase blood flow.

5. Vibration: Is applied gently to certain areas, encouraging relaxation and a profound sense of calm. This technique can soothe the nervous system, easing any lingering tension and promoting overall tranquility.

The atmosphere in the room was calm & relaxing with some very pretty music playing and a nice fragrance in the air.

Before going under the hands, Tamsin took me through several health and well - being questions so that she understood how to approach a massage tailored to my body/mind's needs.

Terms and Conditions

**Mood Massage Loyalty Card - Terms and Conditions**

1. The Mood Massage Loyalty Card is issued by Mood Massage and is subject to the following terms and conditions.

2. The Loyalty Card entitles the cardholder to purchase five massages at the regular price and receive 30 minutes extra free on the sixth massage. The massages must be of the same type and duration each time.

3. The cardholder must present the Loyalty Card at the time of payment to avail of the offer. The card is non-transferable and can only be used by the named cardholder.

4. The Loyalty Card is valid for use until the expiry date stated on the card. All six massages must be redeemed by this date, after which the card will become void and no longer eligible for use.

5. The offer on the Loyalty Card cannot be combined with any other promotions, discounts, or offers unless explicitly specified by Mood Massage.

6. The Loyalty Card and the offer it contains are subject to availability. Mood Massage reserves the right to modify or withdraw the offer at any time without prior notice.

7. The Loyalty Card remains the property of Mood Massage and must be returned upon request or upon expiry of the card.

8. In the event of loss, theft, or damage to the Loyalty Card, the cardholder must notify Mood Massage immediately. Replacement cards may be issued at the sole discretion of Mood Massage and may incur a replacement fee.

9. Mood Massage is not responsible for any unauthorized use of the Loyalty Card.

10. The Loyalty Card has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash

11. The massages received through the Loyalty Card are subject to Mood Massage' standard terms of service and policies.

12. Mood Massage reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Mood Massage website or at the spa premises.

By using the Mood Massage Loyalty Card, the cardholder acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.

**Mood Massage Gift Card - Terms and Conditions**

1. The Mood Massage Gift Cardis issued by Mood Massage and is subject to the following terms and conditions.

2. The Gift Card can be purchased for any amount specified by the customer and can be redeemed towards services at Mood Massage. The Gift Card amount is denominated in the currency of the purchasing country.

3. The Gift Card is valid for use until the expiry date stated on the card, which is one year from the date of purchase. Any unused balance remaining on the Gift Card after the expiry date will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed.

4. The Gift Card can be used to pay for services up to the available balance. If the total bill exceeds the Gift Card balance, the remaining amount must be paid using other accepted payment methods.

5. The Gift Card is non-transferable, and the cardholder must be the person using the card. It cannot be exchanged for cash or other gift cards.

6. Lost, stolen, or damaged Gift Cards will not be replaced or refunded. The cardholder is responsible for the safekeeping of the Gift Card.

7. The Gift Card cannot be returned or refunded after purchase, except where required by law.

8. The Gift Card cannot be used to purchase other gift cards or to obtain cash advances.

9. The Gift Card is redeemable for services available at Mood Massage, subject to availability. It cannot be used to purchase retail products or merchandise.

10. The Gift Card and its balance do not accrue interest or fees.
